2 Rifles prepare for tour of Afghanistan - Mansfield Chad

BRAVE troops from Mansfield and Ashfield are currently preparing to fly out to Afghanistan to join the thousands of British soldiers already stationed in the war-torn nation.

Around 30 men from across the area will be joining a 700-strong battle group for the six-month tour during the next three of four weeks — with many jetting out with a mix of excitement and trepidation.
